THE BRIEF: The Abu Dhabi Film Commission approached Blink Studios to produce and bring to life a compelling short film by Emirati writer Hamad Al Awar. They sought to tap into our creative expertise and production experience to help shape and elevate the writer’s vision—transforming his intimate story into a cinematic experience that resonates on screen.

THE TREATMENT: Led by Producer, Hani Kichi, Blink Studios brought the story to life through a visually rich, technically inventive, and emotionally resonant short film—told entirely without dialogue. Crafted to connect with audiences of all backgrounds, the film blends stylized animation, comedic timing, and universal themes of family and connection. The result is a distinctive piece of cinema that has gone on to be nominated for 15 awards and win 7, including 1st Place Best Animation at the Los Angeles Reel Film Festival and Best Animated Short at the California International Shorts Festival.
